SERVICES AVAILABLE
CONSULTING
Consulting is the collaborative process of evaluating a situation. Together we will comprehensively consider all factors - mental, emotional, relational, financial, spiritual, etc. - to help you determine the best path to take. Once a decision is made, we can create a plan of action for optimal success.

Consultation can be done for individuals, groups, and organizations, and can be followed up with coaching and/or counseling, depending upon need.
COACHING
Coaching moves you from planning into action! During coaching, we learn new, healthy coping skills and adjust our current skills in order to manage symptoms and encourage new ways of thinking and doing.
Using coaching, we will target a specific goal that you want to work towards. Some examples include building skills for stress management, time management, task management, communication, and reducing or eliminating a particular habit.
COUNSELING
Counseling is a process of exploration and understanding that facilitates fundamental change. Together we will examine thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to identify and address patterns that keep you stuck. We will do the preparatory work necessary for changing those patterns with the best chance of success. Adaptations will be made along the way until the desired outcome is reached.
Not sure what service you need? Many clients progress through all three types over time. I offer a free 15 minute phone or videoconferencing consultation if you have questions prior to scheduling an appointment.
WHAT IS TELEMENTAL HEALTH?
Telemental health is a fancy way of describing counseling that is conducted by phone or videoconferencing, rather than in person. Videoconferencing sessions use an encrypted, confidential software system. Accessing these sessions is easy - you just log in to the website or via the app on your phone, tablet, or computer. It just requires an internet connection.
There are advantages and disadvantages to telemental health usage instead of traditional face-to-face sessions in an office. One of the greatest advantages my clients report is the lack of commute, which saves time and money. It can be much easier to have a session on your lunch hour, before or after work, or after the kids are in bed; whenever is convenient for you. Mobility issues or living outside the city are no longer hindrances to receiving services. If you are out of town, you can still have sessions. Some of the disadvantages include poor internet connection which may result in video or speech lag.
Clients who have not experienced telemental health often question whether they will miss out on the face-to-face connection of being in the same room. There certainly is missed body language on a video screen. However, clients in general report experiencing a similar level of rapport using the telemental health platform.
